Lead Engineer (Game Engine)

CONTRACT POSITION

NEW ORLEANS, LA

 

We are on the hunt for a software engineer with the experience and capacity to lead the engineering efforts on an upcoming project.

We focus primarily on client projects in the Extended Reality (XR) space, though we dabble in custom game development projects and seek like minded individuals with a passion for creating in this space. 

We are looking for someone capable of delivering top notch (flexible, but efficient) code for new and existing games/training simulators.  The Lead Engineer is responsible for architecture, managing the engineering team, and working with other team leads (art and creative) to establish a cohesive technical direction.  Applicants must be willing and able to manage projects based in Unity and Unreal and capable of producing for multiple platforms (Oculus; HTC Vive; Hololens; etc.) 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience within games industry

  • Ability to program in C++ or C#

  • Fluent engineering experience in Unity or Unreal 

  • Superior game feature design and implementation experience

  • Self starter with natural problem solving ability

  • Ability to manage engineering team (including managing and planning workflows)

  • Excellent communication skills, including an ability to work across teams and disciplines to ship AAA work product
